Do you have any dresses, suits or tuxes in your closet from proms, formals, homecomings or weddings that you will never wear again but you’d love to give to a good cause?  If the answer is YES, then please donate them to Mill Creek High School’s first ever In-school Prom Shop.  We are collecting dresses and tuxes from now until March 19th to create a VERY AFFORDABLE and classy dress shop for our students to be dressed to impress at prom!  Please consider donating.  All donations can be brought to Mill Creek High School, 4400 Braselton Hwy, Hoschton, GA 30548.  If you have any questions please contact Jennifer_Rolfes@gwinnett.k12.ga.us or Meredith_Mitchell@gwinnett.k12.ga.us

If your current 10th or 11th grade student is interested in applying for the College Dual Enrollment Program for the 2010-2011 school year and you were unable to attend the March 25th advisement meeting, please click here to learn more about the program. There will be a mandatory make-up advisement session for parents and students who plan to apply for Dual Enrollment on Tuesday, March 30th at 1:00pm in the Mill Creek Counseling Office. To qualify for the Dual enrollment Program, a student must have at least a 3.0 academic grade point average. Interested students should register for the May SAT. Please call 678 714-5864 to register for the March 30th make-up advisement session.

Mill Creek embroidered flips flops and slides are on sale now in room 1.620. The purchase price is $20.00. You may purchase your flips flops/slides in the mornings in room 1.620 from 7:00-7:15 or after school starting at 2:30. Thank you for supporting your Mill Creek Equestrian Club.

The Governor's Office of Student Achievement has awarded Mill Creek High School with the Silver Award for the second school year in a row. This award is based on Mill Creek's students and their Georgia High School Graduation Test scores.

Parents, please view the three attachments below to inquire about the Internet Based GCPS Parent Portal.  We ask that you bring your completed parent portal  form to the FRONT OFFICE at Mill Creek.  You must present a valid ID when you bring the form.

Download the registration form that needs to be completed by a parent/legal guardian and brought in person to Mill Creek High School.

The preliminary HOPE Scholarship calculations

are available through Georgia College 411

Follow the steps below to view your preliminary HOPE average.   

1. Log on to www.gacollege411.org
2. Sign in to your account
3. Select the “Financial Aid Planning” tab
4. Under Quicklinks, select “Your HOPE GPA”
5. Enter Name, Date of Birth, and Social Security #
6. Select Mill Creek High School
7. The final screen displays the HOPE GPA. 
8. Select “View Your Detailed GPA Report”  

The very last chance to have a senior portrait made for the 2010 yearbook is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 after school in the Fine Arts hall. If you have not yet made an appointment, there is still time. The photographer will also be taking walk-ins on that date between 3 and 5 PM. There is a $35 sitting fee, payable to Magic Moment Photography.

Parent Information

Mr. Markham, the principal of Mill Creek HS, has sent home a letter with the students about a suspected case of influenza. You may read the letter by downloading the .doc or downloading the .pdf

Time spent in the classroom is very important. When possible, plan appointments for after school or on the weekends.

If your child is absent from school or tardy to school, they will need an excuse note. Doctor's notes are preferred. The state only accepts 8 reasons for being tardy or absent from school. Notes excusing an absence must come to the attendance office in written form.

A simple hand-written note will work. Please list:

• The name of the student with ID number

• The reason for the absence

• The date(s) of the absence

• A parent contact phone number

• A parent signature

Filling out and turning in the attached .pdf or the attached .doc will help ensure that their absence is properly coded. See Parent/Student Info on the left of the web page for more information about attendance issues.

If you would like to be kept up to date with all the Senior news and information, then E-Mail Jody_Gross@gwinnett.k12.ga.us with your email address. In the subject line, type "Senior News". In the body, include your name and your child's name within the email.

Underclassmen pictures will be taken during LA classes on August 12th and 13th. LA teachers will advise students of the schedule in the first few days of school. Package pricing information will be available soon. These are the photos that will be used in the 2010 yearbook

Text messaging from the school to parents and seniors has been discontinued.

Students who wish to park at the school can pick up and drop off their parking application in the attendance office or download the form.

Seniors will need to drop off their application in the attendance office by Friday, August 14.

Seniors who turned in a complete application to the attendance office prior to Friday, July 31 will be allowed to pick up their parking decal during schedule pick up on Thursday, August 6. Cash or check for $60 must be paid upon receiving the decal (check preferred).

Juniors will turn in their parking applications after the first week of school. These students will be entered into a lottery for a parking decal.

Out of all of the high schools in the entire nation, Mill Creek High School is in the top 5 percent.
