If you need the paper application - send me an email of your request donna_zimmer@gwinnett.k12.ga.us   I will send your application(s) to you during the school day. If the scholarship has a website just follow the instructions on the website. 


All students should open an account with www.studentscholarships.org .  To search for more scholarships click on "Important Websites".  You will need to register your information in various websites and search for scholarships.  Make sure you enter the easy money drawings!!


Remember:  Every college/university has their own scholarship deadline and FAFSA deadline - please check under their Financial Aid link for due dates.  Don't miss out on great opportunities by not knowing when to have your material in.

The “No Essay Scholarship” – instead - “Take a Quiz Scholarship” sponsored by Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation.  Register @ www.cksf.org and participate in various quizzes for scholarship money that range from $250 to $2,500.  This is open to 9th – 12th grade students, as well as college students.

North Georgia College Military Scholarship offers 39 GMS scholarships to those students who have a 3.0+ GPA, minimum of 440 math and 480 critical reading.  These are full scholarships that pay for room, meals, tuition, fees, books and uniforms for all 4 years at North Georgia College & State Univ. GCPS Foundation Scholarship - The Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Scholarship process begins in October. Please check the website to download the most current common scholarship application.  Scholarships range in value from $500 to $6,000. International School of Skin, Nail Care & Massage Therapy in Atlanta, is offering 2 full tuition scholarships and 4 partial tuition scholarships to students who express a desire to enter the Beauty and Wellness industry.  These scholarships range from $500 to $13,150 (not including books and supplies).  Request application from Ms. Zimmer @ donna_zimmer@gwinnett.k12.ga.us The interviews will take place June 8 and/or June 9 



Words of Comfort Ministries, Inc. (WOC) provides financial assistance to outstanding male and female African American students who plan to attend an accredited 4-year college/university of their choice.  This is a $2,000 scholarship.  Students must be leaders in the community who exemplify the values of volunteerism and service.  You must also have a GPA 2.5+.  Application, recommendations, transcript and essay are required.  Application is online @ www.wocministries.comDEADLINE:  MAY 14


The S.M.I.L.E. Scholarship (Saluting Models in Leadership and Enthusiasm) awarded by Whitney & Robertson Family Orthodontics is available to students with a 3.0 GPA, involved in school activities and active in their community.  Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.  To apply you must be a patient or a former patient from their office.  See Ms. Zimmer for the application.  DEADLINE:  MAY 17



The Mary Ware Scholarship is available for students who are considered at-risk and do not qualify for other grant options and can demonstrate a strong financial need.  Have a GPA between 2.0 - 2.9.  The student must be a US citizen, a Georgia resident, prepared to attend a college/university or technical school full time in the State of Georgia, and show positive impact involvement through past work/volunteer experience.  Application and requirements can be downloaded online @ www.fostercares.org – under Scholarships.  DEADLINE:  MAY 20


The Georgia Tech Beta Pi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity has created a scholarship award program for incoming freshmen men.  Three scholarships will be awarded for the Fall 2013.  Application consists of clubs/organizations, community service, honors, awards and leadership.  Request application from donna_zimmer@gwinnett.k12.ga.us   DEADLINE:  MAY 24
