BE UNICEF Mill Creek Club
Thank you for your interest in UNICEF and the world’s children. UNICEF stands for the United Nations Children's Fund. It has saved more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization on earth for one simple reason: They are the best equipped to tackle any issue that affects child survival: such as malaria, pneumonia, malnutrition and AIDS.
Nearly 9 million kids in developing countries die every the year of preventable diseases before their fifth birthday. Together—with your assistance—we can reduce this number to zero.
We hope you will help us accomplish this mission by joining the ranks of students around Mill Creek and the country who are educating, advocating, and fundraising on behalf of UNICEF. As a BE UNICEF High School Club member, you will have the opportunity to work in your community for our common goals.
The role of BE UNICEF Mill Creek would be to have meetings twice a month, and as a club, work together to come up with ideas on ways to raise money for UNICEF. UNICEF has provided themes and event ideas on their website for every month to guide the leaders of the club throughout the year, but at every meeting the leaders and the members will discuss ways to raise funds both in school and the community.
