Mill Creek High School Chess Club

Mill Creek High School Chess Club is open for 9th-12th graders of any skill level. The Club meets on Monday from 2:10-3:30 in Trailer 33.

Mr. Oglesby and Mr. Holden are the club sponsors.

The goals of the Chess Club are:

• to provide an opportunity for fun, recreational chess.
• to develop students' self-cnfidence, mental focus, logic, discipline, & analytical abilities.
• to develop students' sportsmanship
• to provide an opportunity to excel in tournament competitions
• to teach the rules, vocabulary, history, & culture of the world's oldest sport, chess.
