GSA
GSA: Gay-Straight Alliance
Mill Creek High School Chapter of the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)

Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month at 2:30 in Mr.Smith's room, 1.551; however more meetings will probably occur throughout the month.
The GSA is a youth leadership club/organization at Mill Creek High School, open to all students, which brings together youths in the community for the purpose of creating a safe place to discuss and learn about current gay and straight issues. Through peer support, leadership development, and training, the Mill Creek Chapter of the GSA supports young people in starting, strengthening, and sustaining GSAs and builds the capacity of GSAs to:
1. Create safe environments in schools for students to support each other and learn about homophobia and other oppressions,
2. Educate the school community about homophobia, gender identity, and sexual orientation issues, and
3. Fight discrimination, harassment, and violence in schools.
