Social Committee
The custodian luncheon was Oct 7th during 7th period. It was a great success. Thanks to all those who participated. We certainly appreciate the wonderful job our custodians do and are very glad to let them know they are appreciated.
Meeting dates for the Fall of 2011 are attached at the bottom of the page.
Key Club Point System
Points are gained for:
1. Projects - 5 pts/hour**
2. Attendance at Club Meetings - 5 pts
3. Attendance at Board Meetings - 5 pts
4. Attendance at Interclubs - 5 pts
5. Attendance at Kiwanis Meetings - 5 pts
6. Social Activities - 5 pts/hour
7. Attendance at Divisional Meetings - 15 pts
8. Attendance at District Convention - 25 pts
9. Attendance at International Convention - 30 pts
10. Extra hours of Service work - 5 pts/hour
11. Project Chairmen receive extra points - 2 pts/hour
12. Fundraiser - help with:
• Collecting money during lunch - 5 pts
• Collecting money before school in parking lot - 5 pts
• Making posters - 2 pts
• (anything other activity not listed - see officiers)
Points are lost for:
1. Not showing up for project work you signed up for - minus 10 pts
2. Failure to Function Assigned Task - minus 5 pts
3. Disruption of meetings or misconduct at school, etc - minus 3 pts
4. Excused absence from meetings - minus 2 pts*
5. Unexcused absence from meetings - minus 5 pts*
6. Missing committee meetings - minus 2 pts*
* If you miss more than three meetings "unexcused" you will be dropped from the Key Club. You must provide a note and talk with one of the sponsors in order to be considered excused.
** You may not earn more than 50 points with one group/organization and apply it toward Key Club hours (i.e. church, Boy Scouts, etc...)
Minimum point total necessary at end of school year to stay in club and attend conventions:
• Old members - 250 pts
• New members - 250 pts
Minimum point total necessary at end of school year to receive convention reimbursement:
• Old members - 400 pts ($20.00)
• New members - 300 pts ($20.00)
• (Members will receive $5.00 extra for every additional 100 points)
