Military History Club

The Mill Creek Military History Club is a club that focuses on military history and the application of military theory. We meet once a week. During our meetings, we discuss famous battles in history, how they were fought, and why they were lost or won. In addition, we apply what we learn by studying past battles by playing strategic and tactical wargames. Wargames are board based games that recreate the armies and conditions of the battles as they happened. We have done futuristic battles as well as those from the American Civil War and medieval Japan. This year, we are planning to branch out in to Napoleonic warfare and WWII. All students are welcome. Meeting information is below.

The club works with various community corporations in the advancement of the hobby of war gaming and miniatures gaming such as Phoenix Games on Hwy 20 in Gainesville.

The club is no longer open for people to simply hang out and play after school. Anyone wishing to utilize the club must become a member. Full membership gives you voting rights, rights to enter competions, and a say in the direction of the club. Partial membership does not give you any of those rights but allows you to show up and play every week. This change is necessary in order for the club to continue to sponsor Veterans Day activities that have become a tradition here at Mill Creek.

The Military History Club is also responsible for soponsoring Vetrans Appreciation activites at Mill Creek. We yearly honour the veterans that serve on the Mill Creek faculty and staff.
