World Reach for Christ
World Reach for Christ
This club is for any student who wishes to start or to continue growing with God and the Word in an environment where the pressures to go against God's will are ever-present. This club is an additional support structure for students along with their home church to which they attend. This club also plays a role in fundraising activities for various causes including but not limited to Relay for Life, Invisible Children, etc. It will also donate some of the earnings to various missionary groups, those being the ones students vote to help.
It is a student-led club and all money raised by the club will go to support the causes listed above.
When and Where do we meet?
Thursday afternoons from 2:30-3:00 in room T-31.
What is this club?
This club seeks to provide students an additional religious support group available in a place where they spend a large portion of their day. Students will be able to meet once a week and talk about things that may be troubling them and seek the guidance of the Bible to aid in that struggle. The idea is to grow closer to Christ and to deepen their faith, growing and becoming stronger.
The weekly Bible study will be conducted by Mrs. Stapleton. She is a Christian, believes in the Word of God, and believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. However, this club is student-centered and will be student-led often with Mrs. Stapleton acting as more of a supervisor.
Finally, it the mission of Christians to share the joy of Christ with others. In this way, members of this club will help with various fundraising activities throughout the year. The decisions as to which fundraising activities to participate will be solely the decision of the students. These do typically include, however, causes such as Relay for Life, Invisible Children, etc. In addition, students will raise some money to be donated to various missions groups to help missionaries in their work.
