Mill Creek vs. North Forsyth
Lauren Bennett and Sarah Peery each went 2-for-3 and drove in a run as the Hawks (1-0) opened their season with a win over the Raiders in an opening-round game of the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational on Wednesday.
McKenzie Fagioli also contributed offensively by going 1-for-1 and scoring two runs, while Morgan Bell was 1-for-2 with an RBI to help back the pitching of Heather Felt (1-0), who scattered five hits and two earned runs with two strikeouts over five innings.
Mill Creek next plays host to Jackson County in a pool game today at 5 p.m.

Taylor Rogers and Lauren Bennett went 4-4 along with a 2-3 day from Morgan Bell that included 4 rbi's and a HR but it wasn't enough as the hawks tied Jackson County 10-10. The Hawks could not hold on to 2 different 5 run leads and ended up stranding the winning run at 3rd in the bottom of the last inning. The Hawks pitching allowed 10 hits and 10 runs, all of which were earned on the night. Mill Creek plays again on Friday, August 17 at 3:30 against State ranked Archer High School.
Mill Creek vs. Archer
Mill Creek dropped a hard fought game against the Archer Tigers 5-2 on Friday in the 3rd game of the Hawk/Bulldog. Mill Creek has Providence, South Effingham and Jefferson High School on Saturday.

Mill Creek exploded offensively with 14 runs and made it a 3 inning affair vs. Providence on Saturday. Jess Grimes recorded the win in the circle for the Hawks.
Mill Creek vs. South Effingham
Mill Creeks bats started out slowly but warmed up with 5 runs in the 5th to put the game away and ended up winning vs. South Effingham from Savannah in game 2 on Saturday. Heather felt recorded her 2nd victory of the year in the circle.
Mill Creek vs. Jefferson High School
The Hawks had another offensie explosion in the last game of the day on Saturday. The Hawks put 9 runs on 11 hits to record their 4 win of the young season. Kaitlyn Howell recorded the win in circle to get her first High School win of her career. Hawks will be in action again on Tuesday vs. Hillgrove High School at Kennesaw State University.

KENNESAW -- Mill Creek pushed across three runs in the top of the seventh to come away with a 3-1 win over Hillgrove on Tuesday night at Kennesaw State University.Lauren Bennett opened the seventh with a walk and eventually scored on a hit by Mackenzie Fagioli.Mill Creek (5-1-1) managed just two hits, with the other coming from Morgan Bell.Heather Felt (3-1) pitched a complete game in recording the win, giving up one earned run on two hits and four walks with four strikeouts.

SNELLVILLE -- Mill Creek edged host Brookwood 5-4 in eight innings of non-region softball on Wednesday.Taylor Rogers had a double and an eighth-inning RBI for the Hawks (6-1-1) and Morgan Bell was 2-for-3 with a double and a three-run home run. Lauren Bennett also went 2-for-3.Freshman Kaitlyn Howell pitched eight innings to earn the victory

Heather Felt (4-1) threw a complete-game shutout, giving up just five hits and striking out three, as the third-ranked Mill Creek Hawks beat the Grayson Rams 5-0 on Monday at Mill Creek. Morgan Bell went 1-for-2, while McKenzie Fagioli finished 1-for-3, with a double and two RBIs for Mill Creek (7-1-1).

Mill Creek loses a tough 8 inning game to West Forsyth. Kaitlyn Howell pitched 8 strong innings in the 5-2 defeat. Hawks fall to 7-2-1 on the season and play next Tuesday at #1 ranked Kenessaw Mountain.

Mill Creek vs. Kenessaw Mountain
The traveled to Cobb County again for a mid week match up vs. the #1 ranked Mustangs of Kenessaw Mountain High School. The Hawks struggled offensively and could only muster 1 run. The Hawks were led offensively by Taylor Rogers who went 2-3 on the night. The Hawks fall 4-1 and open region play on Thursday vs. North Gwinnett on the road.

SUWANEE -- Heather Felt pitched six innings and struck out three in Mill Creek's 7-5 win over North Gwinnett on Thursday. Felt also allowed four walks and six hits in her performance. Kaitlyn Howell recorded the save, striking out one and giving up a hit and walk in one inning. The Hawks came back from a 3-1 deficet in the 7th inning to score 6 runs. Lauren Bennett led the Hawks (8-3-1, 1-0 Region 7-AAAAAA) at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance with a double and two RBIs. McKenzie Fagioli was 2-for-3 with a run, and Sarah Peery was 1-for-4 with a double, run, RBI and stolen base.
